The Board of Directors of Northern Insuring Agency is pleased to announce the promotion of Laurie Mero, CISR to Associate Vice President – Systems & Service, effective July 1, 2020.
Most recently Senior Manager of the Business Insurance Division, Ms. Mero specializes in understanding and maximizing our Agency Management System, educational development of team members and developing 4 direct reports to their full potential.
“Laurie is exceptionally good at digging into our system, making sure we are getting the full benefit of our programs and identifying new ways to improve team productivity” said Deena Giltz McCullough, President & CEO. “She listens carefully and calmly to team members, helping individuals reach their goals through advanced education and training or setting up action plans to advance into new roles.”
Hailing from Willsboro, Ms. Mero joined Northern Insuring in 1983 as a temporary employee and receptionist in Port Henry. At the time she successfully passed a rigorous spelling, math and problem solving test which was the best available tool in addition to in-person interviews. She holds the Property & Casulaty Insurance license and, for over 20 years, has successfully maintained the Certified Insurance Service Representative designation. For the past decade, Laurie has managed a large Business Insurance team including Customer Service Representatives and Marketing Specialists. She has an exceptional attention to detail and next to Chairman Rod Giltz is the second longest tenured employee at Northern Insuring Agency. In her spare time, she is devoted to her family, friends and local church.
Northern Insuring Agency, celebrating their 90th anniversary, specializes in Business, Home, Auto and Life Insurance and Employee Benefits Services.
